Hello I'm Alex

I am Co-Artistic Director of The Factory and run it with Tim Evans and Liam Evans Ford.

I am an actor, fledgling director, and sometime writer. I also teach acting under our Futures scheme and privately, and run workshops in schools and for other companies.

I am currently directing Boiling Frogs for us and 50/50 for us and Hampstead Theatre.

I wrote Love At First Sight for Round 1.

In our Hamlet I can play/do play/have played many parts including Hamlet, Claudius, and The Ghost.

When I play in The Seagull I am The Writer.

When we did our one off unrehearsed A Midsummer Night's Dream I was Oberon and Flute.

I am with Lindy King and Olivia Homan at United Agents. I went to Central, graduating in 2002.

My favourite actors are Brando, Jimmy Dean, Newman, Depp, Rylance, Day Lewis, De Niro, Seymour-Hoffman, Del Toro and more that i now can't think of.

the best acting I've ever seen on stage outside The Factory is Mark in most things. Ken Branagh in Edmond, David Threlfall in The Entertainer, Kathryn Hunter in Scenes From An Execution and Jimmy Garnon in Romeo and Juliet. and maybe Kristin Scott Thomas in The Seagull and Ben Whishaw in Leaves Of Glass.

best on film are probably Brando in Streetcar, Waterfront and nearly everything else. Dean in his 3. De Niro in Mean Streets and most early stuff, Seymour-Hoffman in Boogie Nights, Christian Bale in American Psycho, Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood and more i'll have to add later.

Kubrick, PT Anderson, Cohen Bros, Burton, Gilliam are ridiculously good.

I would probably most like to play Stanley Kowalski.
